As this is my rookie appearance on Blogger, I thought I'd briefly introduce myself.
I am a college student in North Florida, balancing my preparations for my future with dreamy distractions that flow through my head with persistent regularity. I live in Jacksonville Beach, on the shores of the great state of Florida, a place I simultaneous love and increasingly feel the need to escape.
I have moved several times during my stay in the greater Jacksonville area, my latest stop at an old hotel turned apartment complex in the middle of the humble beach bar scene, one block from the Atlantic-kissed sand. While in theory, the Seawalk is an excellent place for a single Florida boy of my age to hole up while studying (or not studying) at the local University, the winter months here can take their toll on a central Floridian underestimating the North Florida cold. Not to sound like a wimp, after all it is still Florida. But the Beach winds, the Seawalk tile floors and my lack of a proper heating unit through December has me thinking of the possibility of moving to a more stable inland pad. Spring is coming soon enough though, and the beach will once again awake.
Anyway, that's a good enough introduction, as I am sure more will reveal itself as I write. I plan to regularly discuss any number of topics on this blog that might cross my life path, and hopefully do it from multiple appropriate perspectives that might see Pete's world from a different set of figurative eyes.
Happy living!
